This marked trail network consists of more than 100 miles of pristinely groomed trails, with virtually limitless opportunities to ride open, powder-filled bowls and meadows along the way.
Whether you set out on maintained trails or blaze your own through untouched powder, our rentals allow you to select the terrain you’d like to explore. Along the way, enjoy spectacular vistas of the Gore Range as you ascend to elevations over 12,000 feet near the Continental Divide. The Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area offers a tremendous array of terrain for both experienced and first-time riders alike.
Self-Guided Snowmobile Rentals Near Denver, Colorado
Full-day and half-day rentals are available for single and double riders, giving you the flexibility to choose an outing that fits your schedule. Full-day rentals offer 8 hours of riding and begin at 9:00 am daily. Half-day rentals offer 2 or 4 hours of snowmobiling with departure times at 9:00 am and 12:45 pm daily. Please check in 45 minutes prior to your rental time.
The Lodge at Camp Hale serves as the base camp for your adventure, home to a full-service restaurant and a cozy, spacious lobby with fireplaces — the perfect place to warm up before or after your ride. Helmets are included with every rental. Snowmobile suits, boots, and goggles are available to rent on-site on a first come, first served basis.

Rental Requirements & Policies
- Guests must provide their own transportation to the snowmobile base camp. 4-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive is recommended and frequently required during periods of heavy snowfall. Rentals operate in all conditions and are not canceled due to snow.
- Helmets are included with all rentals. Snowmobile suits, boots, and goggles are available to rent on-site on a first come, first served basis.
- Snowmobile drivers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license. Drivers must be 18 years of age or older to carry a passenger.
- Rental prices do not include a U.S. Forest Service Trail Use & Grooming Fee of $20.00 per person, paid on-site.
- A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all rentals.
- A signed liability waiver is required for each participant prior to departure.
- All Denver snowmobile rentals have a 24-hour cancellation policy. This applies to both complete party cancellations and individual machines canceled within 24 hours of departure.
