- Q: How old does my child have to be to drive his/her own snowmobile?
- A: We require that all snowmobile drivers be 15 years of age (with a valid learner’s permit) in order to drive their own machine. Drivers must be 18 years of age or older in order to carry a passenger on the back of their snowmobile.
- Q: What is the minimum age for my child to ride as a passenger on a snowmobile?
- A: It is required that children be age 4 or older in order to ride as a passenger on a parent's machine.
- Q: How many guests can each snowmobile accommodate?
- A: Each snowmobile has a maximum carrying capacity of 2 people, (1 driver and 1 passenger) regardless of age or child size.
- Q: What equipment is provided, and what should we bring with us on our tour?
- A: We provide top of the line snowmobiles and helmets. Guests should bring their own warm winter clothing, insulated boots, ski goggles or sunglasses for eye protection as well as a warm pair of gloves or mittens. We also highly recommend that you bring sunscreen, a neck gaitor, and your camera!
- Q: How early should we arrive for our snowmobile tour?
- A: We ask that all guests arrive one half hour prior to their snowmobile tour’s scheduled time of departure.
- Q: Is transportation provided?
- A: No, guests must provide their own transportation for snowmobiling.
- Q: Do Denver Snowmobile Tours require reservations?
- A: Reservations are highly recommended! Our snowmobiling tours and snowmobile rentals are the most popular in the region and as a result, we have an very high guest demand for them. Even if your party is calling to reserve a same day tour, our friendly reservations staff will be happy to accommodate your needs.
- Q: What sort of safety training will my snowmobile guides have?
- A: Our snowmobiling guides are the best in the business, with years of snowmobiling experience in the Rocky Mountains. All employees are required to have a minimum certification level of first aid, CPR, and backcountry safety.
- Q: I have never been on a snowmobile before. Do you have a snowmobiling tour or rental thats right for me?
- A: Of course. Many of our guests are inexperienced snowmobilers and several of our tours and rentals have been designed to accommodate the needs of first-time riders. We’ll provide you with a tutorial covering the operation of your snowmobile and allow you some practice time with it prior to your tour’s departure. Our friendly reservations staff will be happy to help you choose the tour or rental package that’s right for your party.
